Actress Tatum O'Neal was arrested last night in New York for "allegedly" buying crack cocaine. The NYPD reports that they observed the 44 year old actress buying it from a dealer near her apartment. When confronted she said that she was doing it to prepare for a role in an upcoming film, shortly after letting her go the crack was found and she was arrested.
She was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and held at the Seventh Precinct downtown.
Tatum is the youngest person to ever win a competitive Oscar (Best Supporting Actress, Paper Moon (1973))
