Coach Doug Collins announced that Andrew Bynum will be having another injection in his right knee before the season begins. The injection is thought to be precautionary and routine, but Sixer fans have to be a little bit concerned about their newly acquired franchise center. Bynum has yet to play in a single preseason game this year and may be out of shape due to his multiple knee injections.
Bynum’s agent, David Lee, however, says that people should, “Look at it as lubrication for his knees. He had them in previous years.”
The Sixers are wise in playing it safe with Bynum. Even though he may start out the season a bit slow, they have their eyes set on April and May when the playoffs begin. And Bynum will surely be the difference maker that they did not have last year.
