CC Sabathia Buys Cleveland Plain Dealer Print Ad To Thank Indians Fans For Support

Apparently, CC Stands For Class Class
This shouldn't be so rare that it becomes big news, but anytime a player goes out of his way to thank fans, it should be noted. I wasn't sure how CC Sabathia felt leaving the Cleveland Indians. It seemed he was growing restless, and desperately looking forward to a change of scenery. That may have been the case, but it also may have had everything to do with the downward spiral and disappointment of the Indians season a year after making it to the ALCS.
We can be sure his interest in leaving had nothing to do with the fans. CC Sabathia purchased a full-page ad in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, thanking Indians fans for their support.
After an extensive list of those to thank, his message read:
"Thank you for 10 great years, You've touched our lives with your kindness, love and generosity. We are forever grateful!"Very cool, and all class. Apparently, Sabathia put this thank you card in motion from the moment he was traded.
As I said above, it should be so rare than an athlete takes a step back and considers the fans feelings and offers thanks. After all, sports wouldn't be popular and athletes wouldn't make millions without our daily fanaticism.
