It's Saturday night. I know 90% of our members are from the US and there, NFL rules!!!
However, tonight the BC Lions and the Calgary Stampeders are playing for the Western Final and rights to compete in next weekend's Grey Cup - Canada's answer to the Super Bowl, and I gotta tell you, this is arguably the BEST football game I have seen in a very long time.
BC jumped out to an early lead and seemed to dominate, even though for many of us, Calgary was the favourite (yes, favourite, not favorite - we're in Canada now!) Calgary seemed to be floundering, unable to capitalize on great field position on returns. The Stamps didn't score until the second quarter, after BC led coming out of the first quarter 9-0, scoring 3 field goals. The score heading towards the half showed BC up 10-0 after a safety. With only seconds left in the half, Calgary managed to score the major and went to the locker room with that big thing called MOMENTUM and the lead reduced to 3.
The second half was ALL Calgary, scoring 2 TD's and the safety, while BC, even while scoring, just couldn't pull it together. Calgary would win by 4, 22 to 18. But the game wasn't about the score, it was about the PLAY, the HEART and the DESIRE to win. Calgary wanted it, more than BC and it was obvious. They deserve this win, and I predict them to win the Grey Cup over the Allouettes. I'm betting though, that the Grey Cup game just won't, can't have the excitement of this game. It was the best I have seen in a LONG LONG time.

All college football tonight, but I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Good luck to em going forward! Oh, PS. Clint is Nationwide champion!
Celebration time uh-huh
