Sep 14, 2013; Las Vegas, NV, USA; Floyd Mayweather Jr. celebrates after defeating Canelo Alvarez by a majority decision at their WBC and WBA super welterweight titles fight at MGM Grand Garden Arena. Mandatory Credit: Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY SportsWhen one judge scored the Floyd Mayweather-Canelo Alvarez fight a draw, the boxing world was shaking its collective head, wondering how anyone could possibly have seen that result from that fight.

Once the name of the judge was released, the surprise made way for that "oh, here we go again" feeling.

CJ Ross (the C is short for Cynthia, btw) called that fight a draw, despite what appeared to be a dominant performance by Mayweather.

Ross also was one of the judges who gave Timothy Bradley a victory over Manny Pacquiao, despite Pacman being clearly having the more impressive performance.

Ross has announced that she'll be stepping down indefinitely, allowing boxing fans to breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that at least for the time being, she won't be screwing up any more huge fights.

It's sad that boxing has come to this, but at least we're taking a step in the right direction.

Ross has been a boxing judge since 1989, or basically since Canelo Alvarez has been alive, and she still has no clue how to score a fight. Hopefully she's never allowed to return to judging.
