Greeting NASCAR fans. As you can tell, I'm not Kramer. But I've been asked to do this thread for you. Today marks the beginning of the Kyle Busch free Sprint Cup Championship. Yes, obviously Busch will still be racing, but we no longer have to worry about him winning the damn thing. So instead, we can now focus on who's going to come out of the pack and make a statement. I know Kramer's been backing Carl Edwards most of the time of late, and that's who he predicted to win this race. But I'm increasingly intrigued with dog-lover and Michael Vick hater Greg Biffle, who has gotten hot at just the right time, and now has to seriously be thought of as a major contender.
But I also can't ignore my California brethren, Jimmie Johnson, the only good thing to ever come out of El Cajon, California (well, I don't know that for a fact, but it's probably true). Johnson could win his third straight Sprint Cup this year. It's somewhat strange that a guy on the verge of winning his third straight championship doesn't receive more pub, but he'll get plenty of it if he comes out on top.
As for a dark horse, Kramer says you should keep your eye on Dave Ragan. Ragan has finished well on these types of tracks all year, including a career best 3rd at Michigan.
All right everyone, let's go racing! Feel free to discuss the race here.
