The Braves have been a feast or famine team for a couple of years now. They either pound the crap out of their opponent or they lose by 1 run. There’s just no in between. The game against the Brewers and Suppan was just another example of that.
While we could all look at that game in a glass half full type situation where the pitching from the Braves side was outstanding, we have to realize they STILL lost the game. The game had a total of SEVEN hits between two teams. That’s some pretty decent pitching. But where were the bats? Did the Braves hitters stand in awe of the pitching on both sides and forget to swing?
Ten to one today they pound the Brewers into oblivion. It’s how they work. It’s like a water faucet with only one knob…you never know what you’re going to get when you turn it on.
I’m all for lovely pitching efforts. More often than not good pitching will win over good hitting. But is it really too much to ask to get a run with that??
