Everyone knows that if the Black Mamba can play, he will.

He missed practice with the team, according to USA Today, at the Pepsi Center, which is when the team realized that Kobe was sick. There hasn’t been a lot of details released about what is wrong with Kobe, but there’s a chance that it is related to the altitude.

So, the question now is, can the Lakers win without Bryant? In the last game, in Los Angeles, he went off for 43 points and was a huge reason the Lakers were even in Game 5. The team is also back in Denver and has to deal with adjusting to the altitude.

Last time Kobe was out for injury, the team performed very well. This means there’s a good chance the Lakers will rally in their captain’s absence. Kobe has shown that he trusts his teammates with clutch shots and this has boosted the confidence of the bench, and the rest of the team to trust them too.

It will be a tough game if Kobe doesn’t play but the Lakers have a definite chance to close out the series.
