Can the Patriots and their fans lose gracefully?

When the Patriots lose, it seems like it is ALWAYS someone elses fault

I know it is out of the norm for someone to actually CALL OUT the New England Patriots -- ESPECIALLY at the mothership up in Bristol Connecticut, but I don't work for ESPN. I tell it like I see it without any bias. I am sick of how the Patriots and their world class coach and legendary quarterback handle losing a football game. It is borderline pathetic and deserves to be called out.

The Pats are one of sports best franchises in the 2000's. Hands down. Seems like they have 11+ win season after 11+ win season with annual playoff trips and Tom Brady is a star each and every year, but winning the game doesn't mean you are winners. This organization is filled with sore LOSERS.

After the Jets debacle a few weeks ago, up to last night when Tom Brady stormed off in a cursing tirade on nation TV, it is about time someone calls them out. This time is was all on video and not even Roger Goodell can destroy these taps. Whoops did I just say that? -- Granted they didn't do anything illegal this time, but what Tom Brady did do is show his and his organizations true colors. The true Patriot way "When things don't go your way -- bitch and moan until they do."

I get it, the flag was thrown, the refs talked it over and picked it up (wish they'd do that more) -- but jeez, how about you shake hands with Cam Newton (who just shoved the game-winning drive down your defenses throats), Ron Rivera (who put a great gameplan together and had his team chomping at the bit for you Bill), and THEN act like spoiled kids who didn't get the new PS4 for Christmas. Dear lord.

I found myself asking, what if Dez Bryant, or the New York Jets acted the way Tom and the Pats did yesterday? MAN OH MAN it'd be armageddon in the sports media. Instead we will have a few jokes, most of you calling for a rule change to benefit New England and we'll hear what a FIERCE COMPETITOR Tom is. Then of course it'll be dead by Wednesday and the Pats will have the referees EYES THEM like a hawk on its prey in New England on Sunday, waiting for a gust of wind to blow on it's WR's and the Broncos will draw 15 pass interferences flags. Give me a break.

very true about the lack of attention. remember when dez bryant was screaming at his own teammate after the lions game? ESPN and other media outlets were calling into question his character, his attitude, etc. brady curses out a ref on tv and no one says anything.

It matters not to me how they take the losses, really. He was walking off the field talking to the ref, and I get that since I know he wanted an explanation. They may have still lost the game even if they had gotten that call. But the point is, it was as clear as clear ass glass and it should have been called. If it were my crap team, I would have been just as livid. Later, we could discuss how we put ourselves in this situation and how better play would have avoided it coming down to the last play but for now, I was robbed and I'm gonna bitch about it..for a lil bit. Not nearly as long as Packers fans, though :)

I'm just glad the awful MNF officiating focus has been shifted..and this wasn't even the replacement refs.

Well then… I'm glad we got nyjets891's unbiased opinion on the matter.
