MLB Has a Little Captain in Them...Brent Celek Approves.

Last week we reported how the NFL came down hard on Brent Celek for striking the "Got a Little Captain in You" pose after scoring a touchdown. Captain Morgan was engaging in a little guerrilla marketing with NFL players and the league did not approve. The NFL banned Captain Morgan after learning there was a plan in place to have other players strike the pose during games.

Major League Baseball, on the other hand, has no issue with the spiced rum, which obviously means they never drank too much of it in high school (but that's another story). Captain Morgan is the official sponsor of Major League Baseball's awards display on MLB.com. Check out the photo below and don't be surprised to see Tim Lincecum strike the Captain pose at some point today. The Cy Young Award really is the ideal sports marketing platform for Captain Morgan. The start of a pitcher's wind-up is remarkably similar to the pose struck by the dear Captain. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Would Lincecum strike a Captain Morgan pose, with a sprig of Marijuana in his mouth? Just Asking.
