Fair or Foul: Trevor Rosenthal trips a Rays ball boy

Jun 8, 2014; Toronto, Ontario, CAN; St. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Trevor Rosenthal (26) throws a pitch against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre. The Cardinals won 5-0. Mandatory Credit: Nick Turchiaro-USA TODAY SportsThe Cardinals bullpen had some fun last night during their game against the Rays. Adam Wainwright went 7 strong innings, and the Cardinals ended up winning 1-0.

While closer Trevor Rosenthal and the rest of the Cardinals' bullpen waited for some action, there was a foul ball heading towards the Cards' relievers.

A Rays ball boy went over to make the play, but then Rosenthal stepped in front of him, blocking him and tripping him a bit so Rosenthal could make the play himself.

The Cardinals players laughed it off, but there are some who believe that what Rosenthal did was wrong.

Do you have a problem at all with this? Was it mean to the ball boy? Or was it just an example of players having a little fun?

Cardinal fan or not, anybody getting worked up over something like that needs a break from their daily routine and a vacation

Instead of, or as well as, showing the laughing Rosethal, I would have loved to have seen the bat boy's reaction.

Rosenthal's actions could have an impact on the bat boy or girls' decision on how hard to try to grab a ball headed in that direction.  Not sure how old that bat boy is, how mature he is, how he would take that "funning".
