FanIQ | Sports Rumors, Gossip, Blogs, News & Discussion ForumsThe New York Knicks will play the Sacramento Kings tonight, and both teams want a win. So when Carmelo Anthony was asked about the upcoming game and how important was it to win it, he didn’t shy away from telling straight up it was important that they win the game.

"We gotta win. We gotta win tomorrow. We have to win. There’s nothing more than that. We have to win," Anthony when practice was over on Tuesday.
For now, the Knicks hold the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference and are 11 games under the .500 mark. They're currently 2 and a half games out of a playoff spot. This means that every game they will play now is serious business and winning them is a must.
And as they face the Kings on Wednesday, they will not be playing just any other team but will be pitted against a team that has a worse record than their own. With all stats favoring the Knicks to win, the pressure is on them not to fail and to deliver what the people expect from them.
With an easy win against a team that ranks below them, they will get to start off in a good swing and every win counts from this point onward.
Head coach Mike Woodson said that a win was something they had to do as it would improve their record and to do that they would have to go as they planned.

"We have no room for error," Woodson said. "[A win] still keeps us in the hunt in terms of where we're trying to get as a team. That eighth, seventh and sixth spot is all bunched together."
