Blog Photo - Carmelo goes off for MSG record 62 pointsIt's been a terrible season for the Knicks, but their fans got something to celebrate last night. Carmelo Anthony had a career night, scoring 62 points on 23-35 shooting. He had 37 points at the half, and 56 after three.

Those 62 points breaks both the record for most points by a Knicks player, formally 60 by Bernard King in 1984, and the record for most points at Madison Square Garden, formally 61 by Kobe Bryant.

Not even the Knicks could screw this one up, as they pounded the Bobcats 125-96.

On YouTube, the NBA posted every one of Carmelo's field goals from last night.
