Blog Photo - Cavaliers finally take down comic sans rant against Lebron JamesWho could forget the fabulous, unhinged comic sans rant that Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilber posted on the Internet within hours of LeBron James? Who could forget Gilbert's all-caps, out-to-lunch declarations that "I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING' WINS ONE"? (NOTE: They did not.) And who could forget how the Cavaliers owner called James "narcissistic", "cowardly" and "the self-declared former 'King'"?

Apparently the Cleveland Cavaliers themselves forgot about it. As of Sunday night, the whole insane letter was still posted to the Cleveland Cavaliers' official section of NBA.com. Does no one at NBA.com routinely look at what is posted to their website?

The Cavs then attempted to take the letter down -- and found that they couldn't. "The letter was removed years ago from the Cavs.com website, but over the last week, it was discovered that it still existed from this external link to a stagnant archived page," Cavs executive Tad Carper told SB Nation. "It was on the content management system platform that was used back in 2010.

Gilbert's original letter would have been four years old tomorrow, July 8. If you want to relive it's hilarity. it has been reposted to Twitter.
