On the morning of Big Brown's triumphant attempt at horse racing's triple crown, Cedric Benson is poised to complete his own unique triad. The Austin American Statesman reports that earlier this morning the Bears running back was arrested on drunk driving charges in the Austin area. This follows his drunken boating charge last month.
So clearly, we know what has to come next: drunken flying. One if by land, two if by sea, three if by air. I really wouldn't put it past him to pull off a drunken hang gliding charge next month.
Benson's first arrest could have been potentially overlooked by his current employer, but this second arrest in just one month should put his contract in jeopardy. After all, his 2.0 arrests per offseason are inching past his yards per carry.
