They're not happy, to say the least. Even If you just watched last night's contest from the 4th quarter on it was apparent that the calls made were consistently falling on the side of the Miami Heat, be they good calls or bad.

Without getting in to the details of every foul, I can imagine that what hurts the most is the fact that the Celtics, namely Rajon Rondo, put forth an epic effort in Game 2, a game they so badly needed, and felt overmatched not so much by the Heat, but by the referees as the game wore on.

Bill Simmons' tweets, I think, speak for all Celtics fans:

What do you think? Are Simmons and Celtics fans everywhere overreacting? Are we, the fans of all that is good and decent, simply rooting so hard for the Heat to lose that we're not acknowledging the fact that their physical superiority is what leads to the fouls going their way?

I, for one, can say that as a New York fan, just or unjust, anything that gets Boston riled up is at the very least, pretty amusing. But that's just me.

I think the atrocity committed was allowing Rondo to actually make shots...guy is a terrible shooter

There was one call that stuck out to me that reall hurt the Celtics - the call in OT when Rondo got hit in the head.  That was the biggest missed call and it first, you couldn't see it live, and secondly, on the very next possession KG shoved LeBron in the back and it went uncalled.  The reffing is just fine.  Miami has been better for two games.  Simple as that.

I don't think you can play a much better game then the Celtics did in game 2.  The foul disparity was easy to see (33-18) as was the fact that Lebron James shot 24 free throws himself while the Celtics as a team shot 29.  Throw in the fact that IMO, the refs missed a foul on Rondo in overtime that would've sent him to the line to give the Celtics a shot at the lead right before Wade came down and got a basket + one to basically seal it and I can see why Celtics fans are unhappy.

Of course, let's call a spade a spade.  The NBA benefits more from the Heat making the Finals then the Celtics anyway and this wouldn't be the first time or the last time something like this happens...right?  wink

I said this on another post as well, but here goes again... the Celtics shot a TON of jumpshots, and the Heat were getting the ball to the rim.  If you shoot a ton of jumpshots, you will not get fouled as much as when you drive to the rim.... FACT!

So lets call a spade a spade... The reason LeBron got to the line almost as much as the Celtics was because LeBron was getting fouled at the rim while the C's were shooting jumpers.  I'm sooooo tired of this conspiracy BS, it's so tired and retarded!!  If that were the case, the Lakers and the Celtics would make the finals every year since 2008
