Just saw this story in the Boston Globe:
Celtics sell rights to buy tickets to playoffs
This seems like a pretty cool idea, and a good way to get hard-to-find tickets. Apparently the Celtics are confident enough about their playoff shot that they fully endorse the buying of "Fan Forwards", which are like a promise to buy the tickets at face value if they make it to the playoffs. Makes sense to me, but what happens if they don't? They mention in the article that you could buy Game 7 playoff tickets, for example, but if the Celtics win (or lose, I guess :P) in 4 games, the tickets can't be used. I guess they also say you can trade your Fan Forwards around so apparently it's not a huge deal.
Either way, neat article and ticketreserve.com seems like a pretty cool site. Check it out.
