It’s been a strange year when it comes to football – a statement Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens gladly agreed to in their recent interviews. Both men are prominent wide receivers in the NFL, who are presently facing a dilemma in their professional football careers.
Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens are unemployed. So what do you do if you’re one of the two popular wide receivers in NFL that are without a contract?
Well, in Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens you join forces. Both men can boast about being the most famous unemployed wide receivers in United States this offseason. However, all of that could change very soon.
Chad Ochocinco, who was released by the New England Patriots on Thursday, was found working out with Terrell Owens in Miami this weekend. According to some rumors, Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens could be the new additions to Miami Dolphins offensive line.
Interestingly, the video footage of this whole event has also been shared on the internet – and if you are thinking that Chad Ochocinco was behind it then you are right. OCNN, which probably stands for something like Ochocinco’s news network had the rights to that video.
Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens can be seen running routes and catching balls in one of the videos uploaded by OCNN. In another video, Terrell Owens expresses his belief in a miraculous return to NFL.
In the video Terrell Owens was found wearing his new customary uniform, which is no shirt, a fresh layer of perspiration and his old school dog tags. Terrell Owens emphatically declared that his return to NFL will be sooner rather than later.
“Eventually, I'm coming back. All I need is one team,” Terrell Owens said. “Everybody's talking about what happened five, seven years ago. See my heart, not my past.”
Although it seems very unlikely, but apparently there are a couple of NFL general managers out there would like to give Terrell Owens a spot in their roster. The 38-year-old wide receiver Terrell Owens, who came off a major knee surgery recently and is hit rock bottom financially, was asked where he would like to play if he was given an opportunity.
“Ideally, there's a few teams out there,” Terrell Owens said. “Obviously I want to go to a contender, but whatever the case may be I just want the opportunity to go out play a couple more years, I'm still productive.
“I've done some things wrong, but hey, I was young, immature, but right now I'm moving forward, turning over pages.”
According to NFL analysts, the chances of Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens getting a new contract with a new team are increasing rapidly.
