Mandatory Credit: John O'Boyle/THE STAR-LEDGER via USA TODAY SportsChamp Bailey's Hall of Fame career could likely be over soon, as there are reports that the Denver Broncos are on the verge of releasing him.

He has a $1 million roster bonus due on March 15, so Adam Schefter is reporting that the Broncos are likely to cut ties with him before them. They'll save $10 million total against the salary cap by releasing him.

Bailey is a 12-time Pro Bowler and a 3-time first-team All-Pro cornerback. He played only 5 games last year, and his play has declined steadily as of late.

He doesn't appear to be interested in retirement, but that might be his only option, if teams aren't willing to spend money on an aging CB with deteriorating skills.

Despite being one of the greatest cornerbacks of all time when he was younger, Bailey is now becoming a target for opposing quarterbacks and a borderline liability for his team.

It might be time for Champ to call it a career, and we'll find out soon if that's going to happen in 2014.
