You may or may not have heard in passing that former Suns great Kevin Johnson is running for mayor of Sacramento. By the way, he's currently winning.
But that's not really the important thing. The important thing is that he brought out Charles Barkley for a campaign rally recently and as we all know, anytime Barkley opens his mouth, it's entertaining. Here's what we get from political strategist Charles Barkley.
- He thinks the biggest names in political punditry are all idiots.
- He says that both parties are nothing to write home about.
- He says that KJ was a great teammate, but didn't pass him the ball enough.
- He is going to run for Gov. of Alabama in 6 years and he guarantees a win.
On the Enron scandal investigation: "Almost all those politicians took money from Enron, and there they are holding hearings. That's like O.J. Simpson getting in the Rae Carruth jury pool."
Or this one, which will forever be my favorite quote of all time.
After throwing a guy through a 1st floor window in a bar Charles was in front of the judge.
Judge: "Your sanctions are community service and a fine, do you have any regrets?"
Charles: "Yeah I regret we weren't on a higher floor."
