Sorry in advance for the terrible music... I didn't make the video.
In another vicious NFL injury this year, Charles Gordon was returning a punt for the Vikings, when he was tackled awkwardly and broke his ankle. The injury was so bad that Fox wouldn't show the replay afterwards. Which is why my sadistic side felt the need to post it here. Watch at your own risk.
Desmond Bishop of the Packers landed on Gordon's leg as he tackled him, and as Gordon went down, his body twisted, but his foot stayed in place, causing his foot to be turned completely backwards, breaking his ankle.

Gordon is expected to have surgery shortly, and he should be able to return to football. My guess is that he'll be back next year. I really don't see him coming back this year from this, but I could be wrong.
The tackle by Bishop was a completely clean one, and the injury happened purely out of bad luck. There was clearly no malicious intent, and it was simply an extremely unfortunate accident.
Best of luck to Charles Gordon in his recovery, and to the Vikings, who will need some other players to step up big in his absence.
