Florida State has struggled in recent years to keep up with their tradition of success on the football field, but where they've never had difficulty raising the bar is stupid arrests. Earlier this spring, receiver Preston Parker was arrested on gun and drug charges and received the stiff penalty of watching the Seminoles mop up on college football stalwarts Chattanooga and Western Carolina.
There's a good chance Parker will have some company. Last week, tight end Charlie Graham got word that he was once again eligible to join Bobby Bowden's football team this fall after being declared academically ineligible for the Music City Bowl.
Graham was so pumped, he wanted to go out and celebrate. Some of us revel in "achievements" with a few cocktails and a toast. Others get stupid drunk and fire their hang gun randomly into the air.
The latter would be the Seminoles former starting tight end's decision.
According to an incident report filed eight days ago by the Tallahassee Police Department and obtained Friday by The Tampa Tribune, officers were called to Graham’s apartment after a neighbor called to say someone was outside the residence firing a gun into the air.A strict 1st half suspension from the Chattanooga game is imminent. That's assuming the Seminoles are winning, of course.

According to the report, “Mr. Graham was intoxicated and celebrating being eligible to play college football again. Mr. Graham stated post Miranda that he took his handgun outside and fired it into the air.’’
Graham, who was cooperative with officers throughout the investigation, later said he made a “stupid mistake.’’
