I'm not exactly a native Chicagoan, but I have spent some time in the city during my days. And one thing I learned is that Wrigley Field on game day during the summer is always packed with Midwestern college students and graduates, especially those from the Big 10.
And if there's one thing that the Big 10 - or pretty much any Midwestern college - absolutely hates, it's Notre Dame. So naturally, the Cubs decided to have Charlie Weis sing "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" today.
It, uh, didn't go so well. He was treated to a chorus of boos almost as soon as he stepped to the mic.
Which, in all honesty, was probably best for Weis. It'll get him well prepared for this upcoming season where he'll be booed even harder by irate Notre Dame fans.
