While Daniel's Heisman chances took a huge hit with the poor showing, the bigger impact was on Missouri's National Championship chances. Before the loss, they were in prime position to possibly move up to #2, or even #1 if they had won convincingly. Instead, they will likely plummet in the polls, to at least the #10 range. The Tigers' next game is against Texas, who just beat Oklahoma, so that will be another tough one for Mizzou. A loss in that game wouldn't have hurt their rankings too much if they had come into it undefeated, but 2 losses will effectively eliminate them from the National Championship discussion.
A win against Texas might be enough to get them right back in the hunt, and if Daniel performs well, then he could regain the Heisman lead. But going into Austin and putting together that sort of performance will be difficult.
For Oklahoma State, QB Zac Robinson and RB Kendall Hunter who led the way. Robinson threw for 215 yards and 2 TD's, and Hunter rushed 24 times for 158 yards and a score. The Cowboys still have 3 top 10 teams left on their schedule, with Texas, Texas Tech and Oklahoma looming. If their defense steps up like they did against Mizzou, then they have the offense to beat anyone.
Where would you put Mizzou and Ok. State in the Top 25 rankings? I say OSU moves up to 12, while Mizzou falls to #13.
