Los Angeles Clippers fans can rejoice because Chauncey Billups has returned.
Billups has been recovering from a torn Achilles tendon since February 6th. At that time, he'd played 20 games, was averaging 15.5 points and 3.5 assists in 21 minutes. He isn't the fastest guy on the court, but complimented Chris Paul fairly well.
Right now, Willie Green has been starting for the Clippers, and has been doing okay. He's averaged 6.4 points and 1.1 assists.
Even though it's Chauncey's first night back, Coach Vinny Del Negro has said that the vet will start for the Clippers once he was better. So, based on that, he's expected to start tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Dr. Robert Klapper appeared on ESPN 710 and said the main concern with Chauncey going forward will be his explosiveness. He wasn't very quick and explosive to begin with, so this could be worrisome, but regardless, it will still be good to have him back.
