Bowl game tickets for 99 cents -- What are the cheapest bowl tickets on StubHub?

Blog Photo - Cheap bowl game tickets as low as 99 centsLooking for some low-cost entertainment to save your budget for a New Year's Eve binge? If you're in Florida, Arizona, Texas, or near a bowl game site -- why not attend a college bowl game? Thanks to oversaturation and the secondary ticket resale market, you can buy yourself a ticket to one of these bowl games for as little as 99 freaking cents.

Sure -- the bigger games are going to cost you. On StubHub, a single ticket to the BCS Championship game will cost you no less than $941 -- and that's in the standing section. If you want to actually sit in a seat for the BCS Championship, you'll be paying no less than $1,100 on StubHub.

But tickets are dirt cheap for the lower-tier bowl games, according to me just sitting here and entering searches into StubHub. For instance, the Gator Bowl tickets are 99 cents on StubHub, making Northwestern vs. Mississippi State the least sought-after bowl game tickets on the market. The game is at 12 Noon ET on New Year's Day.

Who's the next cheapest? Well, you'll pay more than triple the Gator Bowl price -- a whole $3.50 -- for tickets to see Rutgers and Virginia Tech play something called a Russel Athletic Bowl in Orlando, Florida. The once-prestigious Orange Bowl has tickets for just $8.
