Chelsea are nearing a transfer deal for the Internacional star Oscar. Officials from Stamford Bridge have also confirmed that the negotiations for the young Brazil international are nearing complete.
Meanwhile, the future of Hulk rests “in God’s hands”. The Brazilian star admitted that he has no idea about his future with Chelsea. The Porto star also hinted that he could be spending another season in the Portuguese league.
Chelsea have been tailing Hulk since last summer, but Londoners have failed to sign him in because of the Brazilian’s ridiculously sky high release clause in his contract with Porto.
Even though Chelsea’s billionaire owner Roman Abramovich is willing to spend a fortune on bringing Hulk to Stamford Bridge, the price Porto is demanding for Hulk seems quite insane.
Well, Hulk has been a force of nature for Porto for the past couple of seasons. The 25-year-old’s superb form for Porto has made him a priceless asset for Porto.
Hulk has scored 57 goals and provided 36 assists in 91 games for Porto during the last two seasons.
Hulk is eager to make a switch to Chelsea. Nonetheless, the forward seems relaxed over spending another season with Porto.
“My future is in God's hands. Regarding transfers, I let my agent handle it. I'm focused on the national team,” Hulk told Lancenet in an interview, via Sky Sports.
Hulk further stated that right now he was concentrating on winning the Olympic gold for Brazil. Hulk and the rest of Brazil’s football squad are preparing for Olympics, which are due to start on July 27.
“Who doesn't want to be Olympic champions? We know Brazil's Olympic history, it would be our first title,” Hulk said. “We have a very united squad, we won't fail, and we are all focused.”
Hulk will most probably fail to enter Chelsea ranks this summer, but his teammate Oscar is up for a transfer move. According to Internacional president Giovanni Luigi, Chelsea is on the brink of signing in Oscar.
“There is a verbal agreement between the two parties. But we have to put that on paper and the lawyer of both clubs have to discuss the matter,” Giovanni Luigi told Radio Guiaba.
Chelsea has brought a number of big names into Stamford Bridge this summer. Oscar will join Chelsea recruits Eden Hazard and Marko Marin to help Chelsea fight for the English Premier League title this season.
