Chelsea plan to steal Man City midfield target Malaga’s Isco
Chelsea are weighing up a big for Malaga’s Spanish midfielder Isco. The young football sensation has drawn interest from top notch clubs across Europe. The 20-year-old Spanish star is expected to have a bright future with whomsoever he decides to join.
Isco has already decided to move out of Malaga next summer, which is why European football giants are lining up with interest in the Spain Under-21 player. Isco has been a long-term transfer target of Manchester City, who are ready to break their banks for him whenever the youngster is ready to join them.
It appears as if Chelsea are set to spoil the party for Manchester City by swooping in for Isco. The Spanish playmaker is one of the hottest transfer prospects in the football market, which is why all football powerhouses want Isco by their side.
Manchester City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain has alerted the club’s manager Roberto Mancini about the advances from Chelsea. Therefore, Manchester City are expected to go into a transfer battle with Chelsea for the services of Isco.
With a transfer battle going on, Malaga won’t let Isco go cheaply. The Spanish outfit is expected to milk the big-money clubs with a huge transfer deal. Recent reports suggest Malaga has tagged Isco with a £30 million price tag.
Malaga sit fourth in La Liga and have qualified for the Last 16 stage of the Champions League, thanks to superb performances from Isco in the midfield. Isco, who represented Spain in the 2012 London Olympics, has made 18 La Liga appearances to score four goals and setup another four.
Manchester United were tipped to sign him in last summer, but since then Manchester City have become the frontrunners for his signature. Chelsea are looking forward to replacing Frank Lampard with Isco at the end of the season.
Chelsea officials believe Isco is of the same mold as their midfield maestro Frank Lampard, who is the top goal-scoring midfielder in the Premier League.
