The highly rated English wonderkid Conor Hunte has agreed to sign in a three-and-a-half year contract with Chelsea. This news has been confirmed by Chelsea insiders after rumors of his transfer to other Premier League giants surfaced this weekend.
 
Reportedly, Chelsea thwarted transfer interest from Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool by presenting Conor Hunte with an extension contract.
 
Premier League champions Manchester City had been closely linked with move for Conor Hunte for months now, but the 16-year-old midfielder chose to extension his stay with Chelsea even though he was being offered a better contract.
 
Conor Hunte has impressed in the England Under-17 team and tipped to become a star in the England national team in the future. Conor Hunte earned his first call-up for England at the start of the 2011-12 season when the young Three Lions faced Nothern Ireland.
 
According to Chelsea insiders Conor Hunte is quickly maturing into a top class player and would soon break into the Chelsea squad.
 
The English teenage has been tracked by a number over last couple of months. Reportedly, Manchester City even approached Chelsea with an official bid. Scouts from Manchester United and Liverpool were also tracking the Conor Hunte, but they didn’t table a bid for the youngster.
 
In other news Chelsea’s interim manager Rafael Benitez is keen on signing in Malaga’s attacking midfielder Isco. According to reports, Chelsea have reignited their campaign to sign in the prodigal Spanish attacking midfielder.
 
Media reports suggest Chelsea are slowly closing in on the services of Isco with a £15 million bid.  The Champions League winning side is once again facing fierce competition from Manchester City, but this time round it’s the latter who are favorites for his signature.
 
Chelsea sees Isco as a successor to their midfield legend Frank Lampard, who is set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer. Frank Lampard has been with Chelsea since 2001 and is the top goal-scoring midfielder in the Premier League.
