There were a lot of big names thrown around in connection with the Bears' head coaching job, but they found their choice in a pretty unconventional place: The Canadian Football League. The Bears have hired former Montreal Alouettes coach Marc Trestman as their new head coach, in hopes that he'll be able to finally make something of their franchise QB, Jay Cutler.
Trestman worked with Cutler as a consultant at the 2006 NFL Draft Combine, and he has also worked with big names like Bernie Kosar (in college), Steve Young, and Rich Gannon.
This isn't necessarily a high-profile hiring for the Bears, and most people had probably never heard of Trestman before he was mentioned as a candidate.
Still, it's a solid hire by the Bears, who need an offensive mind to wake up their offense, and particularly someone who can connect with Cutler, who has been a disappointment for the most part, since coming to Chicago from Denver.

This is a good hire by the Bears, was really hoping the Colts were going to hire him last year seeing how Luck would be the first pick in the draft. Oh well, a year later Trestman is a head coach in the NFL.
