Class personified: Blackhawks thank Boston after hard-fought Finals

The Stanley Cup Finals between the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks was one of the all-time greatest series we'll ever see The Blackhawks ended up winning in spectacular fashion, scoring two goals in 17 seconds to win Game 6 in amazing comeback fashion.

After the series, the Blackhawks took out a full page advertisement in the Boston Globe, thanking the Bruins and the entire city of Boston.

This is one of the classiest moves I've seen in a long time by a team after winning a championship. No one would have blamed them if they completely forgot about their opponents and got busy celebrating. Instead, the Blackhawks took a little time out to show some grace in victory.

Here's the ad, in case you haven't seen it yet:

Kudos to Rocky Wirtz and the entire Blackhawks organization for an incredibly classy move. Hopefully this becomes the model for other teams to follow in the future.

Damn impressed by this.  I know my dad would be as well.  Congrats Chicago, you have shown us what true champions you are.
