There is nothing quite like a one game playoff. After 162 games, all that blood, sweat and tears, it all comes down to this one game. Win and move on, lose and go home.
Whoever ends up victorious tonight wins the AL Central and earns the right to face
As of right now, John Danks will be starting pitcher for the White Sox. Danks has an 11-9 record with a 3.47 ERA. Meanwhile, Nick Blackburn takes the mound for the Twins. Blackburn is 11-10 with a 4.14 ERA this season. Also, while Minnesota has a 10-8 record against the White Sox in 2008, the Twins are just 2-7 in Chicago. The White Sox earlier this month won a coin flip to determine which team would host the possible one-game playoff.
There's also the added bonus that Ozzie Guillen talked trash about Blackburn the other day. Ah, good old Ozzie. Man I hope the White Sox win tonight. Although, I guess even if they lose, Guillen's season ending press conference is bound to be hilarious and expletive-filled.
Right now, 64% of FanIQ is going with the Southsiders, but in all honesty, when it comes down to one game, you never know what'll happen.
Anyhow, feel free to Q it up here or on the linked game page.
