I know, I know you're having trouble digesting this surprising news so early in the morning. Cincinnati Bengal -- wait, let's go ahead and call him former Bengal Chris Henry is back in jail after being charged with assault.Earlier this week, Henry was pulled over for having expiring tags on his license plate. Banner week, again, for the pride of West Virginia.Henry, of Florence (Ed. Note: Y'all!), is accused of punching a man in the head and throwing a beer bottle at the man's car Monday in Clifton Heights.
Henry is accused of leaving a visible gash in the head of Gregory Meyer. Court records say Meyer and other eyewitnesses identified Henry as the attacker. They say the beer bottle they accuse Henry of throwing at Meyer's 2002 Honda broke the passenger-side window.
These charges are just misdemeanors, and Henry appears to have a different story of the events, but I have a hard time believing any judge and more importantly Roger Goodell will listen to his version. Good bye, Chris. We'll miss you. We really will.
