Chris Paul Out 3-5 Weeks
Point guard of the Los Angeles Clippers, Chris Paul, will be out the next 3-5 weeks with a separated right shoulder that occurred during Friday night’s victory over Dallas with a score of 119-112.
Paul hit the floor hard during the third quarter whereupon the ligaments between his right shoulder blade and collarbone tore. Paul was immediately sent to the locker room and was given a sling to wear for his right arm.
"He's down," Rivers said. "He's out at least three to five weeks and maybe more. We don't know that [yet]. We know it's a separated shoulder. We don't know what grade it is, yet. We'll probably send him home, and he'll get evaluated in L.A., and just hope that he's going to be OK."
Darren Collison will take over the point guard duties until CP3 returns, but he knows he has big shoes to fill. "It's going to be tough because he's our engine," Collison said. "He's our leader. He does a lot for us. But at the same time, this team is very talented. We have the depth to overcome this. We're only hoping that CP comes back as soon as possible."
