(My apologies for writing this post. Or is it a comment? I do not have a journalism degree, therefore I should not be allowed to share my opinion. Please don't feel the need to read as you will clearly be dumbed down to my level. By the way, this is just sports we're writing about here, right? Just sports.)
I've always contended that the MVP Award in all sports should take into consideration post season play. In this instance, the race would become even more muddled.
Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant were not only the best two players all regular season, they're dominating the 2008 playoffs.
Last night, Paul treated us to a one of his best game's yet, rendering the poor Mavericks useless with a triple-double. 24 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds. In the process, taking several cheap shots from the Mavs who wanted to play the "we're big, bad and physical" card, but too weak to actually pull it off.
It was sad.
Mostly, it was sad for Mark Cuban who put his team in this situation by trading away the player best suited to guard CP3 and instead putting all the hopes with an old point guard who's lost his edge.
Now we put our hopes in the Hornets hands to rid us of this terrible disease in Black and Silver. Please, New Orleans, take care of business.
