Chris Paul and Tony Parker
Maybe Not Magic vs Bird, But Parker and Paul Put On A Show
|

You knew I wasn't going to be able to make it threw the morning without a "I love Chris Paul" post, so here we go again.
Big center vs center matchups or high flying wing showdowns always seem to get more attention, but Chris Paul and Tony Parker might have been involved in one of the best playoffs duels in NBA history last night.
You don't need to look any further than these two back-to-back plays late in the 3rd quarter. That spinning, twisting, over-the-head shot by Paul is ridiculous.
The type of back and forth scoring wasn't limited to just the 3rd quarter. Paul ended up with 35 points and 9 assists, while Tony Parker scored 31 points, dished out 11 and more importantly, got the win.
Paul is clearly the best point guard going, and gets a deserving amount of attention, but Parker never gets enough credit. He's nearly as unstoppable when his shot is on, and last night was one of those outings.
Thanks to these two, this was a first in my NBA viewing experience. I actually enjoy watching a game where the Spurs won. Let that not happen again and may I never utter such nonsense, either.
If you think I've been a little over the top with Paul praise, check out this Eric Neel Page 2 column this morning. Well done.
Enjoy the miracle.
