Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano has missed almost the entire season due to his battle with leukemia. Pagano coached the first three games of the season, but hasn't been on the sidelines since then. The cancer has been in full remission since November, and now Pagano has been cleared to return to coaching whenever he'd like.
Pagano's story has developed into one of the best stories in recent sports history.
He has made appearances in the Colts locker room before and after games, but hasn't actually coached them from the sidelines. Offensive coordinator Bruce Arians has been coaching the team in his place.
The Colts organization has shown great support for Pagano from the start, from posting ChuckStrong signs at Lucas Oil Stadium, and even some cheerleaders going so far as to shave their heads in a show of solidarity.
Congrats to Pagano for beating this, and making it back to the sidelines so quickly.
