Cincinnati vs. Texas [Game info and open thread]
The Bearcats (24-10) are entering the NCAA Tournament as one of the hottest teams in the country. In the last two weeks of the season they closed out their regular season by beating Marquette and Villanova, before beating Georgetown and Syracuse in the Big East Tournament (they lost to Louisville in the tournament title game). In a strong Big East, Cincy flew a bit under the radar, but went 12-6 in the conference. The Bearcats are a versatile offensive team, with four players averaging in double figures.
The Longhorns (20-13) probably had to beat Iowa State in the Big 12 Tournament to get an NCAA bid--and they did just that. Texas still had to sweat out Selection Sunday, but ultimately got one of the last at-large bids. The Longhorns didn't have a marquee win all season, but they do have a player in junior guard J'Covan Brown who can absolutely carry a team. Brown averaged 20.1 points a game this year, and easily has the ability to get 30-plus points if he gets hot.
