Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsThe offseason is when news gets weird for sports, and baseball is no different, which is how this gem of a story was discovered by MLB.

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw is related to the guy who found the former planet known as Pluto.

Clyde Tomabaugh is Kershaw's uncle! He found in 1930 as the ninth planet in the solar system. Sadly, it's now just a dwarf planet, but it's still pretty cool.

Meanwhile, Kershaw seems to be healthy and ready for the season. More spring training will tell if he's lost anything as a result of his injury, but he said over the offseason that he feels great.
