There has been an interesting development in the football world. Cleveland Browns quarterback, Colt McCoy was witnessed spending a few days with NFL legend, Brett Favre. Apparently Favre was acting as McCoy’s mentor.

According to rumors, the two spent every second of their meeting talking about football. Evidently Favre has agreed to guide McCoy in his football career. McCoy’s name will now certainly go down in the history books simply because the youngster has become one of Favre’s protégés.

However, the interesting part or rather disappointing for some is that no conversation on Favre’s professional future came up. On the issue McCoy stated, “We didn't even go there”.

Favre has been in and out of the NFL for the past several seasons. Of course, it could be argued that the (currently) retired player makes his decisions to play in NFL for self satisfaction and pleasure but his blockbuster entries and exits from NFL always leaves his fans on the edge.

McCoy was unable to corroborate if Favre was going to be making yet another return to the field. McCoy stated that there was so much to talk about that the topic didn’t even come up.

McCoy was eager to learn whatever he could from perhaps one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. McCoy was specifically focused on picking up knowledge on Cleveland’s new West Coast offense, something Favre has been running most of lustrous career.

Favre and McCoy seemed to be having a real good time. Favre picked McCoy up from the airport in Mississippi and after that the two quarterbacks spent several days together.

McCoy said that it was amazing just to be around with his childhood idol. The NFL icon, Favre has a huge fan base. McCoy also said that the he had learnt a lot from Favre and hoped he could put that to work on field.

The young star, McCoy, has been categorized by many experts to become one of the next idols in NFL. The quarterback is certainly gifted with the appropriate tools to carve his name in history. All that remains for McCoy is to man up to the challenge.

McCoy also admitted that he wore Favre’s No. 4 in high school. In the aftermath of this meeting no confirmations were made if the two players would rendezvous in a similar fashion in the upcoming future. Well one thing is for sure, be it McCoy or any other young talent, if they get a chance to spend time with a legend like Favre, they wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Colt McCoy is potentially an athletic Bernie Kosar or Brian Sipe. Given Favre is either choke or champ, it's no surprise that many Browns fans are reacting this way. However, Colt McCoy with no fear would be must-see TV, and the Cardiac kids would be making a comeback. If Shurmur fails, go after Marty Schottenheimer and get another back to go with Hillis, bring back the Dawgs!

Colt, should've turned to Joe Montana, and John Elway for advice IMO!
