Mingo was the third pass rusher selected in the first six picks of the draft, showing the emphasis on pass pressure in today's NFL.

Mingo didn't put up huge numbers at LSU, but his potential is as high as anyone's in the draft. Mingo can be a scary threat in the 3-4 as a standup outside backer or as an end in a 4-3.

Last season the Browns had two first round picks and focused on offense with Brandon Weeden and Trent Richardson. The jury is still out on Weeden as the quarterback of the future in Cleveland, but Richardson, who went No. 3 last year, looks like he will be a stud for years to come.

The Mingo pick makes sense given last season's emphasis on offense. The Browns defense needs speed, and Mingo brings just that.

The more things change the more they stay the same. This looks a whole lot like the Kamerion Wimbley pick 8 years ago.
