How bad were the Cavs last night? Lebron James had zero points in the first half which you can partially attribute to foul trouble and the team shot 36% overall while scoring a mere 74 points.
Charles Barkley predicted the Cavaliers wouldn't even make the playoffs. I didn't go that far, but I'm calling for a miserable first half and a gradual climb back to the 7th-8th seed.
It's not fair to overreact too much from the first game, but this looks like what we might see from the Cavs this season. Agree? Or just an off night against a good team?
I think it was just an off night, magnified by playing against a good team. They have the talent to keep them in the race for a top-5 seed in the East, but the intensity isn't always there (I'm looking at you, Drew Gooden). Despite having an awful coach, I expect them to be better than they looked last night.
