I was honestly convinced that the Thunder would get the #1 overall pick. It was set up way too nicely. First, we have a struggling franchise in Oklahoma, recently relocated from Seattle, with a few good young players, but still needing at least one more huge piece to complete the puzzle. On the other side, we have a guy who played his high school and college ball in Oklahoma, is already a legend in his state, and is the obvious #1 overall pick in the NBA Draft.
So the Thunder HAD to win the lottery... right? Apparently not, since the Clippers won it. So I was trying to figure out how this could possibly happen. And suddenly, the answer became incredibly clear. It was Clippers president Andy Roeser's jacket. There's no other possible answer.
