The New England Patriots (5-3) will play against the New York Jets this weekend after being defeated to the Pittsburg Steelers and the New York Giants in consecutive weeks. Coach Bill Belichick had hoped to conquer over Patriots three tough matches after their bye week but the task has proved to be harder than expected. The Steelers defeated the Patriots, no thanks to video technology while the Giants stole a win with just15 seconds left in play.
Now as the Patriots prepare to meet the Jets at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Belichick and Co. will be hoping to grab a much needed win. Although, the match is being held on the Jets’ turf Belichick has biggest advantage. The Patriots have already defeated the Jets 30-21 at the Gillette Stadium in Week 5; therefore Rex Ryan and Co. will be cautious of their moves.
The Jets (5-3) have won their last three games. They have comprehensibly defeated the Miami Dolphins, the San Diego Chargers and the Buffalo Bills. Belichick has acknowledged their good form and is expected to rally his best men when he travels to terrain.
Belichick said, “The Jets are certainly playing well - have a three game win streak, scoring points, not giving up many. They're doing a good job.” Belichick reckoned that the Jets had been lucky with injuries. So far the Jets have played this season with a fairly consistent squad and all their departments have been quite stable.
Belichick commented, “A lot of the same people that we saw a month ago. I don't think there are a whole lot of new things, just they're doing a good job.” Belichick admitted that it will be a challenge when the Patriots travel to play against them.
On the issue Belichick stated, “It'll be a big challenge down there for us this week. I'm sure it will be a very lively crowd emotional atmosphere - at night, Sunday night so we have to do a good job of having a solid week of preparation and being ready to go against a good football team.”
Patriots and Jets have the tendency to bring drama to the field. Moreover, Belichick and Ryan are considered to be one of the best tacticians in NFL, therefore the encounter is expected to be interesting. Belichick concluded, “Both teams know each other well, I'm sure there won't be a whole lot of surprises. It will come down to good solid football, whichever team does the best job executing [and] avoids any bad plays probably will certainly help their chances.”
