I've heard there are a few mildly interesting football games today. Well, there's several matchups of note on the hardwood that deserve your attention as well.
Game of the Day: #4 Washington State at #5 UCLA (2:30)
Unfortunately it doesn't look like most of the country will be able to watch two of the best defensive teams go at it. Also an interesting game for those who follow tempo statistics closely. Both teams are very effective on offense, but Tony Bennett's Cougars play at a much more deliberate pace.
I think Washington State is worth every bit of their top ranking, but home court should swing the advantage over to the Bruins. Assuming Kevin Love wins the post battle, I like the Bruins by a couple buckets.
Make sure to appreciate Taylor Rochestie and Robbie Cowgill. President and Vice-President of the "If you saw them on the streets you'd never think they played for an elite college basketball team" club.
