Three more automatic bids handed out today, while all the major conferences fight for the somewhat meaningless regular season crown. Here's what we've got today...
Big Ones
Big South Championship: Winthrop vs UNC Asheville (11:30, ESPN2) - We mean big one here of course, as in 7'7 Kenny George who needs to be a part of the madness. He's not very good, but he can change the game in stretches.
#10 Louisville at #13 Georgetown (Noon, CBS) - Your Big East regular season Championship game and likely a 2-seed on the line (for now).
North Carolina at Duke (9, ESPN) - It's this little rivalry on Tobacco Road you may have heard about. For all it's hype, it is a rather significant game. ACC title, of course, but more importantly the 1-seed in the East that could have home court advantage through the first two weekends. That's big.
Worth Watching
#7 Stanford at USC (2, CBS) - Gus Johnson is on the call, so that's reason enough. If the Cardinal can bounce back from the disappointing loss across town with a win, then I'm on board with Stanford.
Creighton vs #21 Drake (2:30, FSN Local) - Arch Madness semis. I'll go ahead and call the Blue Jays upset here.
#20 Marquette at Syracuse (4, ESPN) - Must win for the 'Cuse.
Ohio Valley Championship: Tennessee State vs Austin Peay (5, ESPN2) - So, what's so excited about this? Tennessee State is one of those teams with a losing record that has a chance to play on. I love March.
Have at it.
