Crean looking pretty upset to start the 2nd half...down 20 to Wake, I'm not sure many would be happy though.

Vazquez has 20 points 12 boards and 6 dimes for Maryland so far.  He's probably one of the more underrated players in college basketball.

The ACC is going to end up winning this challenge either 7-4 or 6-5, but the difference between these conferences isn't that big.  Every game in this series, outside of Duke/Purdue last night, has been close.

Um... yeah.  Indiana is more like a NAIA school this year so they probably be given a 20 point head start.

With that though, I just disregard you're comment of these two conferences being close.

Indiana is as bad as bad can get, and the ACC really doesn't have an embarrassment like that to drag their conference down.

While Michigan State and Purdue are the top 2 now, and probably all year in the Big Ten, (and as proven last night and tonight) Duke and UNC are just going to be that much better.

As far as the middle teams; I think that's as close as these two conferences get..nothing spectacular, nothing hugely disappointing.

I suppose it depends on how you look at a conference.  At the top, the ACC is better.  I think its a bit unfair to judge Michigan State on this game because 1) UNC is going to destroy a lot of good teams this year and 2) Sutton is still out.  At the very bottom, the ACC is also better.  In the middle though, one could make the arguement that the Big 10 is actually better, and certainly not any worse.  Top to bottom, I don't think there's a whole lot separating these conferences, at least right now.  Obviously the ACC is better, but not nearly as much as they've been recently.

I hope you're right, but it feels like the ACC is just playing with the Big Ten.  The Big Ten has no answer for North Carolina or Duke and our bottom 5 schools probably can't beat anyone in the ACC.  It is early though.

Everyone expected MSU to loose to UNC this early in the season.  Later on in March it will be a different story.  Both teams will be different.  Just because they loose one game doesn't count them out.
