- The iconic trees in Toomer’s Corner Auburn University will be removed due to the inability to revive them after they were poisoned in 2011.

- Texas offensive coordinator Major Applewhite allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a student in 2009. University officials say he has already been disciplined.
