Good afternoon college football fans, and happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend – here are some interesting headlines you may have missed over the last several days.

- Michigan State hired Air Force assistant coach Ron Burton on Friday to coach its defensive line. Burton spent 10 years with the Falcons’ defense.

- Former Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron – who was fired just a few weeks before the NFL playoffs began – accepted the same position with LSU on Friday.

- Ex-Fresno State coach Jim Sweeney passed away Saturday at the age of 83. He compiled a 144-74-3 record with the Bulldogs from 1976-96.

- Doug Kenna II, the quarterback from the undefeated 1944 West Point national championship team, died Saturday at the age of 88.

- USC announced Sunday afternoon that offensive coordinator Kennedy Polamalu has been fired. He makes the fourth coach to be let go by the Trojans over the last several months.
