- Alabama replaced the retired Mal Moore with Bill Battle as Athletic Director on Friday. Battle was the head coach of Tennessee from 1970-76.

- Louisville defensive line coach Clint Hurtt was placed on administrative leave Friday so that he may focus on the allegations from his time as an assistant with Miami (Fla.)

- Marshawn Lynch made a surprise visit to his alma mater on Saturday, scoring a 22-yard touchdown at Cal’s spring practice. Here’s the video.

- Kennesaw State has selected Georgia Tech’s quarterbacks coach Brian Bohannon as the program’s first-ever head coach. Bohannon was with the Yellow Jackets for four seasons.
